I have been collecting Shelley China since I left school....:)

Shelley Sunrise and Tall Trees

This absolutely stunning Shelley Queen Anne Shape Cup
Is one of my absolute favorites, and over time I will sharing a lot of cups in this shape
As this style is where my love affair with Shelley began....

The pattern is the ever popular 11678 Sunrise and Tall Trees and is
A superb Art Deco Design introduced in 1929
This design features a vibrant, Hand Painted, Egg Yellow Sun
Set against Black and wonderfully contrasting Tall Trees and a Golden, English, Gated Field.
This design is probably the most recognizable and striking pattern of this particularly Shelley era.

A Little Bit of Info...

A Fitting Quote...
"For most people, we often marvel at the beauty of a sunrise or the magnificence of a full moon, but it is impossible to fathom the magnitude of the universe that surrounds us."

It's already been said, but I can't help but repeat it: that teacup is georgeous! I haven't seen one like it before and I'm so glad you posted it. And your yellow and black photos are charming. I own some Shelley teacups so was also grateful that you posted the images of the labels. Great blog...I'll be a regular visitor, for sure!

Hi: I have to confess, when I saw your tea cup I immediately went to Ebay to try and find one. I can not believe how expensive they are. I did not find yours, I guess that was good, too much money. I just love it. Thank you so much for being a part of this fun party. Blessings, Martha
